Hey, I just discovered this comic this morning and have read the whole thing. I am not personally trans but I identify with Ally a lot. I am actually about to go on a big trip similar to this to India for three weeks, with university, and it is really cool to see because it kind of gives like context for my trip, liek what it might be like. Obviously the specifics are different, because we are documenting a language instead of going to a con and going to a different country. The art is fun, and I just want to commend you on this comic.
I was going to jump on you over the spelling of “comradery”, but, to my infinite annoyance, it’s validated as a correct later spelling. I’ll just be a crotchety old fart, put in my Roebuckers, and celebrate my spirit of CAMARADERIE on my soapbox. (Sigh) Kids these days. They just can’t leave anything alone. 🙂
I too celebrate the spirit of camaraderie with you 🙂
To be fair, in the original script, it was spelled how Christian wrote it. I was the one who changed it to the modern spelling.
Just binged this over the past three hours or so, I love it! As a transgirl myself, dear god I feel you Ally. Happy times with Internet friends is one thing, but having to interact with actual people, now THAT can be a whole different swarm of Yanma, as one of my Internet friends loves to say. This does remind me I have a lot ahead of me…but it starts with getting coming out to the extended fam sorted and keeping my head above water here at school. Luck to the both of us, mm?
I just read everything in one go, and I love your comic.
