I wonder if Ally realizes that she is not the only one who was negatively affected by the Stella Goddess fiasco.
She definitely does. I just finished re-reading that particular comic arc, and she actually wound up laying low for a while due to the repercussions it had for both her and Jim.
Maybe this is a good thing, though. Jim needs some character development and maybe this is him coming to some realizations.
Can you provide a link to that arc by chance if you have it handy? I am SHITE with names and can’t remember Jim…
Here we go! This is where that particular arc begins, and it goes on for several strips. 🙂
Hm, I don’t know…what I mean is, she is blindsided that he left the big 2, and doesn’t seem to think of the possibility that Jim’s confidence was damaged, and that may have been why he left.
That could be what happened! Ally is human, after all – she can’t be expected to be perfect 100% of the time. And it would be interesting to see if that’s the case.
At the time Night Bane was published, though, Jim genuinely thought he was contributing to something that would help people. But the way the release panned turned out, and with all the objections voiced at the Diversity panel (not just from Ally), Jim probably realized even the best intentions can do more harm than good.
I just spent all my downtime in the past two days reading the entirety of this comic and I love it so much!! Ally, and so many other characters, are so lovable and realistic. I’m so happy to have found this comic
